Project Exclusive

The award-winning Westpac Place is the head office of Westpac Banking Corporation. Offering 360-degree views and occupying an entire block, Westpac Place features state of the art technology including advanced ESD principles to minimise environmental impacts and reduce energy costs.

Architecturally, Johnson Pilton Walker designed and created the base building completed in 2009. Westpac has undergone recent refurbishment in 2019, utilising Geyer and Studio* Collaborative, to bring the interior in line with the Barangaroo Place Westpac Fitout, creating a homogenous Westpac identity throughout both buildings.

The Access Floor Scoop

Westpac Place is a prominent commercial tower in Sydney encompassing over 72,000m2 of ASP’s commercial ICON X System. Also used in the tower’s comms rooms is ASP’s ICON DATA HPL.

At a building height of only 166 metres, the Icon X system was the perfect solution to provide a low height access floor at 150mm finished floor height. The access floor system provided housing for electrical, data and communication services, along with ease of maintenance and flexibility to adjust for later refurbishments.
